Uptown Main Street

Uptown Main Street (UMS) is managed by the nonprofit Uptown Community Initiative, focusing on the development of the Colorado Avenue Triangle. UMS facilitates economic development by aiding small businesses and neighborhood corridors, offering technical assistance and organizing events to showcase the distinctive business landscape. With the backing of business owners, community members, and sponsors, UMS provides year-round programming and support for over 160 businesses.

Programs and Services Offered

UMS provides one-on-one technical assistance, supports businesses in the development and submission of grant applications, loans, permits, and offers free educational workshops for small businesses.

Once a year, UMS has a Small Business Grant competition available to those businesses within the limits of the main street boundaries.

They also host networking events for local business owners to connect, share ideas, and collaborate.

Each year, UMS coordinates multiple events to drive consumer traffic like Cinco de Mayo, Movie Nights, and Art All Night.
