Dreaming Out Loud fosters an ecosystem of support — human, financial, and infrastructural — aimed at providing long term solutions by addressing unique challenges encountered by low- resourced and marginalized participants. They offer the following programs:
The Resilient Enterprise Accelerated Modules (DREAM) Program offers participants, a valuable opportunity to access comprehensive support as they embark on their journeys as food entrepreneurs. Designed to benefit highly motivated and talented individuals from low-resourced, and underfunded communities, this multi-week incubator program delivers in-depth business training tailored to the food and beverage industry. Participants also receive mentorship, revenue-generating opportunities, and the chance to build a strong peer support network.
The DREAM Black Food Fund (DBFF) is designed to provide on- going capacity boosting support to marginalized, low resourced farmers and food entrepreneurs. It complements the DREAM program and makes it possible for us to grant critical resources to DREAM program cohorts as well. Beneficiaries of this program receive micro grants and technical assistance based on available resources and identified needs.
Each year, they host the DBFF award ceremony. At the ceremony, guests and awardees of their $120,000 micro grants convene together to celebrate positive outcomes due to the funds the awardees have received.
