Columbia Heights and Mount Pleasant Main Streets provides direct services and support to businesses located within the main street boundaries. Their programs include technical assistance, one-on- one consultations, free or low- cost training and workshops, and regularly distributed business newsletter that provides resources and opportunities.

Small Business Grants of up to $5,000 are available for businesses located within the Main Street program boundaries. The funds can be used for technical assistance, exterior and storefront improvements, interior renovations, security improvements, and/or equipment.

They also host several community events and onsite activations that drive foot traffic to the corridor’s small businesses like Columbia Nights Day and Juernes, an effort to showcase this community’s vibrancy and presence in the neighborhood through performances, family friendly activities, and free food at the Columbia Heights Civic Plaza.
